so I should have checked the link...

Thanks Dacia, my link didn't work for the video. I was in a hurry yesterday and didn't try it out. We'll try this instead. http://video.pbs.org/video/1479321646 Frontline has a lot of good segments, it's one of our favorites when we have a few extra minutes, or a lunch hour with sleeping kids. I'm not too fond of the video The Mormons, only because I think listening to historians talk about the formation of our church takes away the spirit and magnificence of the whole experience. Of course when you look at it through the worlds simple, scientific eyes, it all seems a little crazy. But when I look at it with a prayer in my heart, and with faith, I think the whole story is amazing. I feel so blessed to have taken the time to study it out, and prayed to know if this gospel is true. That's the only way we can know for sure. No educated historian can change what I have felt and know to be true.

whether you are for or against, it's informative...

So Jared came home and we watched this Frontline video over his lunch hour. I've always been for immunizations, but the whole debate that surrounds them intrigues me. You can find the video here. I felt it was worth my time.

life is a little crazy around here...

So it's been a while since I last posted, we've been kinda busy. We survived the trip to my parent's while Jared had some fun in Arizona. Gavin ended up with an ear infection, so we got to know the doctor's in Shelby. He also dropped a can of spaghetti sauce on his toe while we were there, and we're waiting for the toenail to fall off any day now. Poor guy, it wasn't his favorite vacation.
Maddie was baptized. She had a great day with lots of family around, and with my mom doing all the cooking, I had a great day too. Thanks mom! We enjoyed visiting with all the family.
She also had a fun weekend where she got her ears pierced. I wasn't too sure about it, but she did great. She's braver than I thought.

And of course a crazy family photo. Gavin just wanted to get down and play. He'd had enough of sitting still for the day.

And this past Friday, Maddie and Colin danced in their ballroom recital. Maddie danced to "George of the Jungle", and Colin danced to the Chipmunk's "Shake your Groove Thing". I'm not sure Colin has a groove thing, but he had a blast. And Maddie of course loved the performance. Colin walked home early with Jared, so we only have pictures of Maddie and her cousin Rylie. Just picture Colin in a red hoodie with a perma-grin.

And miss Kate is continually making me smile. I had to share a couple of my favorite words that come out of her mouth daily. They are "lasterday", and "nexterday". Today she told me that nexterday she wants to eat at Artic Circle so she can play on the slide. And anytime she's talking about something in the past, she refers to it as lasterday. She is super cute, and she keeps me sane in this crazy house.
And Maddie was exploring all the functions on our camera and took this cute picture of Gavin. I know he's a little old for a binky, but he's a kind of attached, and I'm o.k. with that for now.
