1st Day of School!

Colin and Maddie are now back in school. I've decided it's a good thing we're having a baby, or Kate and I wouldn't know what to do with each other all year long. Amazingly I got Colin and Maddie off to school on time, and when I got home, I had a sad Kate on my hands. We took a walk, played playdoh, put puzzles together and counted box tops, all before lunchtime! It's a good thing she still takes a nap, because I was running out of ideas to keep her busy. The next day, she ended up watching Peter Pan 3 times. We'll have to set up some playdates, or we'll have a long winter ahead of us! Needless to say, Colin and Maddie had a good first day, Colin was upset that he didn't have any homework, and when I asked Maddie how her day went, she said "fine". Hopefully the excitement will pick up!

Swimming and Soccer!

Maddie also played soccer this summer. Her favorite parts were kicking the ball in, and the treats at the end. For a girl who really just likes to dance, I was proud of her for trying a new sport.

Also, I decided I'd better get some pictures of the kids outside in the water. We really didn't use the pool too much this summer. It was easier to take the kids to the splash park instead. After seeing how much fun Kate had, I regret my laziness, and have plans to play in the water more next year!

Colin turns 8!

Colin turned 8 on July 24th, which means he was baptized, which I have very few pictures of because they all turned out blurry. Thanks to Grandma Wheeler, I have this one of Colin with his dad and Grandpas.

Also with his 8th birthday, Colin got to start scouts. Thanks to Grandma Lybbert, he bought all his scouting gear, and couldn't wait to get home to put it all on.

Colin was so excited to be baptized, and we had a really fun weekend celebrating the occasion. So much fun, and good food, that at my following doctor's appointment, I fould out I had gained 5 pounds (in two weeks!). So sad, but all for a good cause. We love you Colin!

Summer Time!

Our summer has been busy, and I'm hoping to get back to blogging. Here are a few random pictures of the things that have kept us going and going and going this summer!

Colin had baseball, then, swimming lessons, and now soccer!

For the 4th, we went to the parade, and then to Idaho Falls for a Chuckars game. Kate did pretty good for the first few innings, and then she had enough. We ended up going home early and setting off fireworks.
